Altium Designer Certificants demonstrate, through the certification process, that they possess a minimum level of knowledge (as determined by IPC Certification program) with regard to their skills and understanding of Altium Designer software.
Certificants are certified in two-year cycles after satisfying specific prerequisites outlined in the Policies and Procedures document, including the completion of one or more written examinations on the use of Altium Designer. These certification assessments are based on a body of knowledge that encompasses various best practices, requirements, and guidelines specified within the Altium Designer documentation and knowledge base.
Domain 1: Basic Navigation Essentials (9.0%)
Domain 2: Component Library (12.1%)
Domain 3: Schematic Capture (25.1%)
Domain 4: PCB Designer Layout (30.6%)
Domain 5: Draftsman (10.3%)
Domain 6: Documentation Outjob Files (2.1%)
Domain 8: Customization (5.6%)
Domain 9: ECO/Design Transfer (5.2%)
This certification exam is intended for professionals who are new to the field and have used Altium Designer for 1 to 3 years.
Altium Designer Certification Programs are offered as Remote Proctored Exams. This exam is monitored by a combination of Artificial Intelligence, live proctors, and video/audio recording and analysis to monitor candidates as they sit for the certification exams. Remote Proctoring Exams do not require a proctor physically present while testing.
The exam consists of 75 multiple-choice questions. Completion of the examination with a score of 70% or higher is required.
