Education Ecosystem Pipeline

Why Clusters, Why Now?

The talent gap is real and rising. The Association identifies a chronic shortage of skilled workers as one of the industry’s most difficult and urgent challenges; more than two‑thirds of U.S. members report hiring and retention constraints.

To solve workforce challenges, the industry needs to collaborate with educational institutions, students, government agencies, as well as trade associations at a regional level to build the resilient talent pipelines to thrive.

The Cluster Strategy (simple as 1‑2‑3)

  1. Industry — Identify anchor employers (OEM/EMS) and define roles (Operators, Techs, Engineers, Designers, Supply Chain, Program Managers).

  2. Education — Partner with a community college/university/K‑12 CTE and an IPC‑accredited training center to deliver Electronics U RTI, labs, and proctored certification.

  3. Funding & Government — We help stack funding resources with partners like Jobs for the Future (JFF), Institute for American Apprenticeships (IAA), and California’s ETP.
