This certification exam is intended for experienced professionals who have used Altium Designer software for 3 or more years.
Altium Designer Expert Certificants demonstrate, through the certification process, that they possess a minimum level of knowledge (as determined by IPC Certification program) with regard to their skills and understanding of Altium Designer software.
Certificants are certified in two-year cycles after satisfying specific prerequisites outlined in the Policies and Procedures document, including the completion of one or more written examinations on the use of Altium Designer. These certification assessments are based on a body of knowledge that encompasses various best practices, requirements, and guidelines specified within the Altium Designer documentation and knowledge base.

Domain 2: Component Library (15.3%)
Domain 3: Schematic Capture (18.5%)
Domain 4: PCB Designer Layout (33.6%)
Domain 5: Draftsman (2.0%)
Domain 6: Documentation Outjob Files (4.7%)
Domain 7: Data Management (4.9%)
Domain 8: Customization (10.2%)
Domain 9: ECO/Design Transfer (6.7%)
Altium Designer Certification Programs are offered as Remote Proctored Exams. This exam is monitored by a combination of Artificial Intelligence, live proctors, and video/audio recording and analysis to monitor candidates as they sit for the certification exams. Remote Proctoring Exams do not require a proctor physically present while testing.
This certification exam is intended for professionals who are new to the field and have used Altium Designer for 3 or more years.
The exam consists of 75 multiple choice questions. Completion of the examination with a score of 70% or higher is required.
